Inspire is delighted to welcome a new Boardroom Apprentice for 2023-2024.

Callum McCartney comes to us with a background in finance and will now participate in an exciting, year-long development programme, which allows candidates to gain experience, skills and training by placing them on public or third-sector boards.

He follows in the footsteps of last year’s Apprentice, Cheryl Meban, who has now completed her tenure on the Inspire board.

Thanks to the support of the Department of Finance, this unique scheme, first established in 2017, has helped well over 200 people from across Northern Ireland to begin their own leadership journeys.

Open to those aged 16 or over, of all backgrounds and abilities, the aim of the project is to foster a more diverse range of individuals within corporate boardrooms.

Callum, a graduate of Ulster University, is the current secretariat of the Funders Forum for Northern Ireland. He is using the Boardroom Apprentice experience to further enhance his career and personal development goals. He looks forward to bringing a solution-focused and results-driven ethos to Inspire, all while learning more about the ways in which large organisations are governed and regulated.
