Inspire is proud to announce that it has been awarded a PRCA DARE Award in recognition of its impactful “If It’s Not Okay” campaign, an initiative grounded in lived experience.

The PRCA DARE Awards celebrate outstanding public relations and communications work across the UK, recognising campaigns that demonstrate creativity, effectiveness, and real-world impact. Inspire’s success reflects not only the strength of the campaign itself, but also the power of amplifying voices too often unheard. Inspire was delighted to be joined by three of those voices, Gavin, Carla and Billy, who first took part in the campaign back in 2024.

A Campaign Rooted in Lived Experience

Designed and shaped by individuals who have directly experienced the issues at stake, the campaign prioritised authenticity and honesty.

Judges said, “By placing lived experience at the centre, Inspire ensured the campaign resonated deeply with audiences, moving beyond awareness to foster understanding and meaningful engagement. This approach brought credibility and emotional depth, allowing the campaign to connect with communities and stakeholders in a genuine and impactful way.”

Winning a PRCA DARE Award is a significant achievement and a testament to the dedication, creativity and collaboration behind the campaign. It recognises not only the communications strategy but the values underpinning the work, particularly Inspire’s commitment to co-production and elevating lived experience.

This award marks an important moment for Inspire. The organisation remains committed to continuing this work, supporting communities, amplifying voices and delivering campaigns that make a real difference.
