Inspire is delighted to launch its Connect 6 campaign for Mental Health Awareness Week, which runs from 9th May to 15th May.

The theme of Mental Health Awareness Week 2022 is loneliness, something we may all experience, whatever the circumstances.

When that happens, it may negatively affect our mental health. Sometimes we feel lonely because of a change of job or school, a big move or after the loss of a loved one. In other situations, loneliness is beyond our control.

But there is always hope and we can all play our part in connecting with the people in our lives, our workplaces and our communities. That’s why we’ve put together some great resources for getting everyone involved.

Starting next week, our Connect 6 series will get underway. These simple but helpful pointers are designed to help us overcome feelings of loneliness and connect with ourselves and others. Keep your eyes peeled for our tips across our social media platforms and start sharing – the more people think about how to combat loneliness, the more progress we’ll make together.

They will focus on making the most of our free time, being active online, taking things slowly, connecting in real life, self-care and seeking help when we need it.

Whatever we do, the main challenge is to stay in touch with the world around us. Even if it’s just sending a text message or phoning someone we haven’t spoken to for ages, that’s a great start. And always remember: none of us is alone.

In addition to the Connect 6 themes, be sure to check out the fantastic conversation starter and ideas generator over on our dedicated Mental Health Awareness Week page, set to go live on 9th May.
