Over 300 willing participants hit the Stormont Estate on Sunday 31st May to celebrate Inspire’s fifth annual Colour Run, defying the early showers and painting east Belfast with all the colours of the rainbow.

Building on our past successes, the 5k fun run has become a fixture of the mental health calendar.

As soon as the clock hit 13:00, friends, family and even a few four-legged companions set off through plumes of powdered paint, negotiating Stormont’s leafy trails and a series of checkpoints, where more colour was doused over those courageous enough to face them.

Prior to the start, Nathan McAuley from McAuley Fitness led the attendees in a Clubbercise warm-up session, all of it set to a soundtrack provided by the Q Radio Street Team.

As ever, many thanks to everyone who came along and joined in. We’re also extremely grateful to eir business for its continued support. All of the proceeds generated by the event will support Inspire as it works to provide services to those living with mental ill health, intellectual disability, autism and addiction.
