We are a collective of creative people. Our mission is to encourage everyone to use creativity for wellbeing; and to support people working in creative industries to use personal creativity as a source of resilience.
Inside Out is creative collective of people living with mental illness and/or ill health in NI.
We create source & create opportunities to encourage everyone to use creativity to support their own wellbeing. Inside Out also run a regular Open Mic Creativity Night called Mixed Jam.
This group of creative people began with two of our mental health staff team, Dee Brannigan and Emma Berry. As colleagues working in Mental Health in the community they were looking for a great excuse to meet up with other creative types in the community; who use creativity as a wellbeing tool.
Mixed Jam open mic nights have now been running for over 4 years in various locations, and with much support from the local community.
Over the years we have been supported by Libraries NI, East Belfast Mission and Cafés in North Belfast and most recently the 248 Bistro in inner city East - 5 minute walk from the titanic rail stop.
Inside Out is growing both in communities and on social media. To keep up to date with what is happening you can like them on Facebook here.
