Inspire Students promotes and supports positive mental health among the student populations of various third-level institutions throughout Ireland and Britain whilst tackling the stigma often associated with mental ill-health.
Inspire Students is part of a social enterprise wholly owned by Inspire set up in 2000. It knows exactly how exciting and yet at times daunting the experience of transitioning into third-level education can be for young people.
Whether dealing with the challenges of finding your feet and establishing your peer networks, being away from home, or being expected to study or train more independently for the first time, we here to help students in college or university to successfully navigate that transition.
Our experience in many third-level institutions tells us that providing support for students is fundamental to their academic success.
Inspire Students offers support to nearly 200,000 students every year and delivers many thousands of face-to-face counselling sessions, and offers 24/7 support through a helpline staffed by accredited counsellors.
For our students, we know that counselling can have a direct benefit on academic experience, helping students remain on their chosen course of study and improving their confidence and self-esteem.
