On Thursday 21st June we hosted our inaugural Workplace Wellbeing Awards to celebrate the importance of building positivity, resilience and mental wellbeing at work.
We hosted these awards to recognise the efforts made by many organisations that go the extra mile to protect and nurture the mental health and wellbeing of employees.
The awards ceremony took place in the Crowne Plaza Hotel and was hosted by broadcaster Stephen Watson and special guest, rugby legend Stephen Ferris.
International aerospace company Bombardier was awarded with a special recognition award for its long-standing and ground-breaking commitment to employee wellbeing.
Prof Peter McBride, Chief Executive of Inspire Wellbeing said: “We are thrilled to have hosted these awards and recognise the organisations that are going above and beyond the call of duty to promote staff resilience and wellbeing at work.
“At Inspire Workplaces we have over 20 years’ experience working with companies from across Ireland who have shown the value they place on their staff by investing in their wellbeing. All of the companies nominated and chosen have much to be proud of.
“I would like to pay tribute to all nominees and winners and in particular, the team at Bombardier who won a Special Recognition Award. They have been working with Inspire Workplaces for almost 20 years, breaking lots of taboos around mental wellbeing at work, supporting their employees and truly demonstrating a phenomenal commitment to its staff wellbeing.”
Speaking at the awards, Stephen Ferris said: “Recognition of those employers who go the extra mile to champion resilience, team building and positivity in the workplace is something I feel passionately about.
“Nowadays people rarely ‘unplug’ from work and its vitally important that employers take steps to ensure that employees feel supported and motivated in an increasingly pressurised working environment.
“Building positivity and resilience in teams means that they will perform better and ultimately that is good for both individuals and organisations.”
