On Thursday 1st February our Anti-Stigma campaign, Change Your Mind, brought you Time To Talk Day.
Change your Mind is Northern Ireland's regional campaign to tackle stigma and discrimination around mental health. They are a grassroots campaign shaped by the collaboration of communities, organisations and individuals who are championing the message against mental health stigma across society - a campaign for people, driven by people.
Time To Talk Day encouraged people to talk about their mental health and break down the stigma. It’s easy to think there’s no right place to talk about mental health. But the more we talk about it, the better life is for all of us. Too many people with mental health problems are made to feel isolated, worthless and ashamed. Time to Talk Day was an opportunity for all of us to be more open about mental health – to talk, to listen, to change lives.
Throughout the day we were trending on social media across Northern Ireland and the whole of the UK and we reached over 33,000 people on social media. We captured our day through the lens and saw the dedicated supporters champion this campaign including staff at Inspire, Mindsight, MSM Law and Belfast George Best Airport.
