celebrate recovery from addiction at regional conference

We know that everyone takes different paths on their own recovery journeys, we know there’s not always one right answer, and we want to celebrate that diversity. Therefore, we invite you to Celebrate with us at this FREE event.

This is the first Regional Celebrate Conference in Northern Ireland. It will be an inspirational and provocative event for people in recovery as our aim is to champion how recovery and well-being can transform lives, families and communities. Delegates can expect to learn about the latest developments in the substance misuse field, feel inspired by success stories, engage with others, and get involved in interactive discussions.

At the event you can expect:

Speakers & Debates

  • Oisin McConville - Former Armagh GAA Player - In Recovery from Gambling Addiction
  • Stephen Malloy – Human and Civil Rights Campaigner for People Who Use Drugs
  • Sunny Dhadley - The Recovery Foundation
  • Sheila Smyth - Director of 'The Right Key', a Social Economy project developed to help those in Recovery from Addiction
  • Service User Stories - A range of personal testimonials from people in Recovery.
  • Celebration Activities - A range of fun, interactive and informative activities
  • Addiction Talks Back - An engaging 'Q & A' session on the topic of addiction and recovery
  • A Talk through Recovery - An opportunity to network and discuss a range of topics

Leading figures will share their expertise, but we also want your views. What do you really think about recovery? How can we promote recovery and foster thriving communities? The conference will be an opportunity to showcase your opinions and encourage lively debates.

The Celebration will also allow drug and alcohol professionals to develop practical, useful knowledge of recovery and treatment which can be applied to their everyday jobs.
