Lagan Valley non-24 hour Supported Housing Scheme (LVSH) comprises 6 single occupancy flats at Pembroke Lodge plus one house for two occupants and one bungalow at Johnston Way, Lisburn. The bungalow is sufficient for 2 residents although it currently continues to house one. Support is individually tailored and delivered via the Inspire Model of Support. This model offers particular focus on working towards recovery through agreed strength based support plans and key-working, consultation with the Service User and Community Mental Health Team, and is appropriate to assessed needs.
Pembroke Lodge consists of 50 individual flats in a quadrangle two storey formation. Lagan Valley SHS occupy 6 x single occupancy flats separately located throughout the ground floor. Pembroke is set within private grounds on Pembroke Loop Road in Poleglass BT17.
Johnston Way consists of one bungalow and one semi-detached house. Both are double occupancy and are integrated into a regular social housing setting off Knockmore Road in Lisburn BT28.
Between the two locations LVSHS can accommodate 10 residents at any one time.
Residents are encouraged to participate in activities and appointments within the local community and this facilitates inclusion and normalisation
Residents are encouraged to be involved in all aspects of their support and Lagan Valley SHS embraces Inspires ethos of placing considerable value on service user participation and believes this to be the core to delivering high quality innovative services in partnership with the residents.
Each person comes to Inspire with their own skills, strengths, abilities and attributes. There is a commitment to supporting the individual to realise their own potential by providing them with the opportunities to utilise these skills, strengths and abilities. This is achieved through the concept of recovery within each person.
