Enterprise Court is a Supported Housing development situated just off the main Newtownards carriageway on the outskirts of Bangor. The site comprises of four single storey buildings, each offering accommodation to 8 residents as well as 8 individual flats. The site is attractive with a tranquil outlook thus offering a therapeutic and holistic environment.
The scheme is run in collaboration with the South Eastern Trust, Choice Housing Association and Northern Ireland Housing Executive and referrals to the scheme come mainly from the local Community Mental Health Teams as well as from other health professionals.
The supported housing options on offer at Enterprise Court aim to promote the mental and physical health of the residents while enabling each to achieve their optimum level of functioning and independence in the community. We aim to promote positive self-esteem by enabling our service users to make decisions about their own lives, identify goals and aspirations that are important to them, have equal access to opportunities for volunteering and employment and to achieve what they want in terms of normalisation and improved quality of life.
The Floating Support Service, which is also based in Enterprise Court, is a flexible, local service designed to assist individuals with mental health needs in their own home. The Service is currently aimed at individuals who are living in the Bangor and Ards Housing Executive District Areas and are requiring support to maintain their tenancy and their independence.
