Inspire Supports Older People in a number of settings throughout Northern Ireland. Current Services range from two Older People's Day Care Settings based in Irvinestown and Roselea in Fermanagh and out Living Well Living Longer Service. All out Older People's Service focus on helping service users be as independent as possible in their own community
Lowtherstown Day Care is registered and inspected by RQIA and we operate our services based on the Day Care Regulations.
The aims of our Day Care is:
To provide a service as a part of a care plan to enable an individual to maintain his/her independence in the community for as long as possible
To provide a range of activities, social rehabilitative and educative aimed at improving the quality of life of members within a caring and stimulating environment
To enable carers to continue caring by offering support and respite from daily care
To facilitate carious clinics such as chiropody, dental and others to support the physical wellbeing of older people
The objectives of our Day Care services are to:
Maximise independence according to the members capabilities and needs
Prevent or delay social/clinical deterioration
Improve and develop social skills and ability to form relationships
Provide respite and support for carers and families
Provide an opportunity for members to pursue activities of a social, recreational, diversional and therapeutic nature
Provide constructive forms of occupation
To develop the members potential including
Enhancing physical and mental skills
Providing basic personal services
Providing social and psychological support
Providing assessment and review
Tailoring individual packages of care
Lowtherstown Court Day Care is a community based resource which offers a warm, welcoming and safe environment for Older People living in Irvinestown and the surrounding rural area.
Our service is provided within the Communal Area of Choice Lowtherstown Court Sheltered Housing Scheme.
Day Care is provided three days per week Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 9.00am - 4.00pm and transport for our members is provided by Fermanagh Community Transport.
Referrals are made by the Western Trust Older People's Team and allocated to our service by the Western Trust Day Care Manager.
Once your referral has been processed by the Western Trust we will visit you at your home and ensure we have all the information we need to be able to support you or your family member within our Day Care setting. We will provide you with your own personal care plan and review it regularly.
We have an experienced and caring team of staff and volunteers who work hard to make Day Care an enjoyable and comfortable place for members. They will encourage you to get involved and get to know everyone in the day care setting. We also provide a nutritious and tasty meal every day. All staff are trained, supervised and are NISCC registered and expected to adhere to their Standards of Conduct and Practice. Volunteers are a valuable part of our service and are also provided with supervision and training opportunities appropriate to their role.
