Carn Court Testimonials

The following are Testimonials from Service Users, Staff and Volunteers.

I really enjoy attending the centre and don’t know what I would do without it. It is the highlight of my week

Carn Court Day Care is home from home to me. I really enjoy coming in to the centre

I really enjoy the company of the other members. I love coming into a warm and welcoming centre.

I enjoy everyday that I come into the centre and I don’t know what I would do without it.

I enjoy the fun, friendship and company I get from attending the centre. Staff are very attentive.

I am very glad of the break when my mother is in Carn Court Day Care. I get my housework done. My mother is not very good on her feet and her eyesight is very poor so she is very susceptible to trips and falls. Carn Court Day Centre is a lovely place to work in. I enjoy meeting all the members and listening to them telling us all their different stories. It is lovely to be able to help them in so many different ways, to encourage them in times of bereavement and showing that you care for all their needs in so many different ways. As this is the only social outlet for a lot of our members, it is great that they enjoy what takes place so much, so long may it continue.

I enjoy working in Carn Court day care. It’s very rewarding helping all our members. They are so thankful for all we do for them. Some are very isolated and they love the company of others and joining in all the activities. It is great to be able to help them enjoy their daily living and hopefully bring a little bit of joy into their world.

My role within volunteering is supporting members to get to the centre. I really enjoy the social aspect of my role, meeting and chatting to the members. The members whom I transport into the centre have no other means of getting in so only for this service they would not be able to attend. I also transport them on outings and support them with their shopping. I enjoy listening to their stories about by-gone days. I benefit from this role and find it very rewarding.
