Carn Court Day Care is a community based resource which offers a warm, welcoming and safe environment for Older People living in Roslea and the surrounding rural area. Our Service is provided within the Communal Area of Choice Carn Court Sheltered Housing Scheme
Day Care is provided two days per week Wednesday and Friday 10am -4pm and transport for our members is provided by our Volunteer Driver.
Referrals are made by the Western Health and Social Care Trust Older Peoples team and are allocated to our service from the Western Health & Social Care Trust.
We have an experienced and caring team of staff and volunteers who work hard to make Day Care an enjoyable and comfortable place for members. They encourage members to get involved and get to know everyone in the day care setting. We also provide a nutritious and tasty meal every day, as well as drinks and snacks. Staff discretely and tactfully provide personal and continence care as a key part of their daily role.
Members are supported to participate in a range of meaningful activities which interest them and promote physical and emotional wellbeing. These include short activities such as arm chair aerobics, bocce, talks and advice on falls prevention which all focus on physical activity and mobility. Other activities include music, bingo, reminiscence discussion and craft activities. We welcome a range of guest speakers who encourage interaction and learning.
Our Day Care is registered and inspected by RQIA.
Please note staff are present two days a week – Wednesday and Friday – if you contact us at other times please leave a message and we will return your call
