Yvonne has been employed by Niamh as a clerical assistant since 2006. 10 hours in Ernevale & 6 hours in Castlecroft. Yvonne is a tutor and has been involved in teaching members and staff IT skills. She also is involved in arts & crafts. Currently Yvonne is co-ordinator for the BKN Upcycling Social Enterprise which has a shop and workshop. Members and volunteers are involved in upcycling old furniture and giving it a new lease of life. The item is then sold in our BKN shop and any profits go back into mental health locally. Yvonne can see how this project is improving the life of the members and volunteers as they feel they have a focus in life and doing something worthwhile. Attendance is 100% and they are looking for BKN to be open at least 5 days a week. Watching members and volunteers grow in confidence gives great job satisfaction and the comments from customers who see our work.
