I have worked for the last 25 years within the education system. Throughout this period I have been responsible for developing leadership and management training and coaching interventions (both accredited and non-accredited) for a range of audiences of leadership in the schooling systems and in other organisations such as Royal Bank of Scotland – Risk Team; De Paul Ireland; NSPCC; Victim Support; University of Ulster.
Currently I am coaching Principals/VP’s in a range of schools within the North and South of Ireland.
In the coaching, I offer, the issues seem to fall mainly into several categories:-
Improving strategic leadership skills with a range of staff within the school setting.
Managing staff - Dealing with underperformance, handling a difficult interpersonal relationship, conflict between staff.
Building emotional intelligence- resilience and well-being and managing the internal dialogues- dealing with dips in confidence.
My work is characterised by integrity and interpersonal sensitivity.
“Nichola is an outstanding coach - she asked the appropriate questions at the right time, and did something amazing - first of all, she listened, and then asked the exact questions that I had needed to hear for a long time.”
