As a Coach, I have considerable experience as a Practitioner and as a Coach Trainer.
As a Trainer, I co-facilitate an AC Accredited Leader as Coach programme – four days of experiential training in a variety of coaching models including GROW; OSKAR; the Five Minute Coach. I teach the Models and demonstrate the techniques in live coaching sessions. I also host Coach-Meet groups to facilitate the graduates of the Leader as Coach programme in accessing additional coaching practice towards accreditation. I engage in one-to-one coaching demonstrations and observe live coaching sessions in regular Coach-Meets.
Since graduating in 2019 with the AOEC Practitioner Diploma in Executive Coaching, I have fulfilled one-to-one coaching contracts with schools in both primary and post-primary sectors. I have coached Principals as part on the Inspire Pilot programme and I have coached Senior Leaders in Interview Technique.
My Coaching skillset has been enhanced through study and research. I have presented and co-presented a series of Mental Wealth twilight sessions for teachers, the focus of which is managing mental wealth resources and developing strategies for self-care and resilience. The content of these courses is underpinned by Positive Psychology and research evidence from authorities such as Martin Seligman, Daniel Goleman, Kristin Neff, Andy Cope and Dr Emma Hepburn.
Psychological and neuroscientific research informs my use of a range of strategies in Coaching interactions. I aim to disrupt the negativity bias and support growth mindset and learned optimism. Whilst my coaching practice is characterised by sound knowledge and understanding of Coaching theory, my unique coaching stamp is a warm and empathetic presence, which values personal development and supports individual goal setting to achieve a flourishing life and career and a sense of overall wellbeing. I work hard to serve the client’s agenda and exercise high standards of integrity and confidentiality.
