I completed a Certificate in Coaching and Mentoring at Queen’s University, Belfast from September 2010 to June 2011 and set up my own coaching and consultancy business in the same year. I have coached extensively since that time,mainly in the community and voluntary sector. I have completed several hundred hours of one to one coaching.

I have been coaching for about eight years now, mainly in the third sector and have completed more than three hundred hours of coaching in that time. All of that coaching has been one to one and usually for about six sessions at a time though a few have been longer by agreement. I have a strong ethical base to my work and always work in a professional, contracted way with appropriate supervision and support. I am a reflective practitioner and engage regularly in skills practice and ongoing training. I have worked with a number of CEOs of charities and community organisations and with one Principal of a secondary school. I have covered a wide range of issues but my area of expertise and interest is in leadership development. Among the areas I have covered are personal development as a leader, conflict management, managing a team, change management, increasing morale, performance enhancement, staff appraisals, planning and strategy development. As a coach, I have access to a variety of tools to enable an effective process and develop a rapport quickly to create a safe, confidential space for my clients to address issues. I have seen real and lasting change and significant results from my practice and have had very positive feedback and evaluation from my clients.
