The Innovation Recovery project aims to assist people who have experience of mental health difficulties to understand and adopt the principles and practices of Recovery to enable improved self-management of their condition.
Do you live in Strabane, Foyle or West Donegal, Belfast, Louth, Armagh or Newry? Want to learn new skills? Be involved in creating courses for your peers? Develop a learning hub in your community?
Then we want to hear from you!
We are working in partnership with CAWT Cross Border Health and Social Care and Health and Social Care NI on an exciting project, #RecoveryTogether, aimed at providing you with development opportunities and new skills.
The Project requires that people with lived experience and carers participate with the Community and Voluntary sector to ensure that their voices are heard and that they are at the centre of project planning and delivery.
The Innovation Recovery Project will establish, co-ordinate and manage two Cross Border Community and Voluntary groups. The geographical area covered by each cross-border group is as follows:
West: Derry / Strabane /Letterkenny/West Donegal
East: Armagh/Newry/Louth/ /Belfast City
The vision for these groups, once established, is that they will provide the Innovation Recovery Project Board with an assurance that the project is grounded in local communities. These groups will provide guidance and direction to the Innovation Recovery Project Board on the project delivery model in each area, to ensure that the project best fits the needs of people with mental health needs.
